PWA member organisation Citizens Against State Torture (CAST), a UK-based campaigning group concerned with the breakdown of civil society and rights in Pakistan submitted an urgent petition to the UN Special Rapporteur on the Promotion and Protection of Freedom of Opinion and Expression on Monday 5 February 2024, just days before a highly controversial election is scheduled to take place in Pakistan. The petition calls on the UN expert to initiate an urgent investigation into the widespread and systematic suppression of political freedoms in Pakistan.

Voice of Pakistani Americans (VOPA): Several hundred Pakistani Americans gathered in front of the U.S. Congress, the symbol of the world's most powerful democracy, to show support for democracy and free speech in Pakistan. They shared heartfelt messages on a message wall, thanking Congress for its support and urging continued backing for genuine democratic forces in Pakistan.

Pakistani-Americans gathered for a massive car rally and protest , organised by VOPA (Voice of Pakistani Americans), a PWA member organisation, in Washington DC, in front of the US Capitol Building. Protesters called for the immediate release of Imran Khan from unjust imprisonment, restoration of democracy, and immediate free and fair elections.
